When she first reached out, I could tell she was excited to work with me, but was dealing with a few outside variables ( such as getting furloughed from her job) that made it difficult to make it a heck yes! She was open & up front with where she was at & said she would follow up when she was ready to invest into herself in this way…. Wellllll a few months later, we did!! ( Originally planned to be on her ACTUALLL BIRTHDAY… pushed a few days forward so we could shoot in this dreamy studio X) #WORTHIT
Which tells alot about her character because she actually followed through!
So, not only is she a woman of her word, she is truly a walking angel! ( that knows how to get ish done)
She could have negatively let her circumstances determine her future, but it ultimately became the fire under her butt to pursue this passion of helping others on her own! Since then, shes been teaching women how to identify their top skills/interests, create a killer resume and nail their interview so they can land their dream jobs.👩🏫

We started our half day photo part-tay at Hale studios, located in Downtown San Diego! Where I caught her element, with her working boss babe hat on! She had LOTS of tools for her trade including laptop, planner ( which she can’t live without), phone, coffee, notepad, pens, ring light, white board, folders to keep track of all her clients & sooo much more! Her friends even joined along the fun, seriously THE BEST hype crew. Highly suggest bringing your besties to your next shoot! I mean who doesn’t want a personal papparazzi taking all the behind the scene shots & making sure you feel amazingly good about yourself & how you look!? Anyways, there main reason for being there was to act as Jess’s clients, which included a mock mastermind retreat setup & of course, pop of the bubbly!
If you couldn’t tell… her favorite snack is Doritos!
Then we headed to her own workplace, which would be the first time she had visited since she got laid off! So to say the least, being back brought up some emotion! The conference room was the PERFECT backdrop to show her BOSS corporate side & as you can tell… she knows how to rock a stage & engage an audience!
Lastly, we headed to the stairs right across the way for some epic power pose shots & to one of my favorite spots… THE ROOFTOP, where we ended the lonnggg, but fun filled day, with some champagne & dancing!
I made sure to capture this little, yet significant tattoo of a dandelion seed on Jessica’s arm. For her, it is a reminder: 1. one person can have incredible impact on the lives of many 2. your legacy can continue well past your precious time on Earth 3. you can honor the people you miss by living out the principles and values they embodied 4. Most importantly, it reminders her most of when she misses her dear friend Cassie, that she is just a glass of wine and concert away
